This concert will be a part of a mini-tour in York – Leeds – Manchester. The repertoire will include pieces from the Baroque to the early Romantic era. The idea is to show the development of the historically informed performance practice and how this change over the years.
Dimitra Ananiadou was born in Greece. She took her first violin lessons in her hometown, followed by studies at the Ionian University, Department of Music, in Corfu. She took part in international masterclasses in Greece and abroad. She has Diploma of Harmony, Diploma of violin, Bachelor in Musicology and Master in Musicology with Distinction. She is currently finishing her Master in performance at the University of York and she has been accepted at the PhD course of the University of Manchester. Dimitra is praised for her maturity, emotional expression and technical ease.
In order to complete this project, we are looking for sponsorships from the generosity of those who contribute via Sponsomyevent. This concert will be a part of the artist's mini-tour and the costs include the fees of all those who contribute, the cost of the posters, the booking of the concerts venue, the fees of the accompanists, as well as the costs of practicalities such as travel and hotel rooms for the course of the concert.
