  • About the event

In an era where sustainability is no longer optional but essential, Beyond Zero offers an inspiring and practical case study for business leaders, sustainability officers, and decision-makers. The film follows Ray Anderson, founder and chairman of Interface, as he boldly reimagines the role of business in addressing environmental challenges. His story proves that sustainability and profitability can go hand in hand — even for a publicly traded, global manufacturing company. This film is not just about reducing harm; it’s about transforming business models to become regenerative — giving more than they take. Through Interface’s journey, viewers will gain powerful insights into systems thinking, leadership, innovation, and how a clear sustainability vision can spark growth, resilience, and long-term value creation.

Business for Sustainable Development has pioneered in providing sustainability development assistance to the private sector for 33 years and the evolution of sustainability reporting among the different sectors has been quite dynamic. Sustainability Reporting is one of the many steps to embark on the sustainability journey of an organization. Through compliance, reporting guidelines are strictly implemented and practiced in the management systems of a company which in return contributes to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals. With the urgent call for action of the global community, the Philippines has stepped up in adapting to and closely monitoring these changes to corporate sustainability reporting.

SDSN Philippines, co-hosted by the Ateneo Institute of Sustainability at Ateneo de Manila University and De La Salle University, established in 2015, mobilizes its members in the Philippines and leverages their strengths to help realize the SDGs. Key activities include mobilizing the youth population to create innovative solutions for a sustainable future and organizing a webinar series on food systems, carbon neutrality on campus, and education for sustainable development.

In this joint film screening event hosted by BSD and SDSN Philippines, we will also hear from one of the event partners, SUSTAINOVA, as they present a comprehensive overview of sustainable management systems through their knowledge hub. This includes the significance of leveraging digital tools and platforms in your journey toward regenerative business. Following the film, there will be a post-film panel discussion, followed by a Q&A session for participants to engage in dialogue. This event will benefit BSD Members in the business sector and SDSN PH’s membership community by providing them with a compelling narrative to transform or inspire their organizations, enhance stakeholder trust, emphasize their commitments to the SDGs, and gain access to networking opportunities with thought leaders.
