    About Dr. Andrea Allen

    • Professor of Criminal Justice at Clayton State University, specializing in policing research and forensic science

    • Co-Lead of the Laker Wildlife Initiative, established to meet the growing demand for professionals and community members equipped to address the complex challenges of wildlife crime and environmental threats

    My Mission:

    • Bridge the worlds of scientific investigation, criminal justice, environmental science, and public policy to confront wildlife crime—a crisis costing the world economy up to $2 trillion each year

    • Prepare students, professionals, and communities to tackle increasingly sophisticated crimes involving wildlife and natural resources

    What I Do:

    • Foster interdisciplinary training and research through the Laker Wildlife Initiative

    • Empower individuals and organizations to respond effectively to emerging issues in conservation, law enforcement, and environmental stewardship

    • Ensure that students and local partners are equipped to make a meaningful impact—both locally and globally—through hands-on learning and innovative solutions
