CMTC produces a four-day convention in Toronto which consists of modelling, acting, singing, and dancing competitions, educational workshops and seminars, an awards ceremony, and callback/interview opportunities with modelling and talent agents, scouts, managers, casting directors, and record labels. The industry reps that attend CMTC judge competitions and conduct seminars while also searching for new models and talent to work in the modelling and entertainment industries.
CMTC aims to provide a high-quality event at an affordable price to contestants. We are looking to partner with a sponsor that will help elevate the experience for our guests. CMTC brings in over a thousand national and international guests who are inside the halls of our event space for four consecutive days. A sponsor who could relate to aspiring models and talent, parents, guardians, and international guests would best match with CMTC.
Audra Anderson is the president and CEO of the Canadian Model and Talent Convention (CMTC). CMTC was developed in 1993 to help create the right time and place for models/talent to be educated and showcased. CMTC has helped aspiring models/actors overcome obstacles associated with breaking into the modelling and entertainment industries by providing a venue where new faces can meet and learn from top national and international agents, managers, casting directors, producers, and record labels.
Audra began her career in the industry at the age of seventeen as a model with Elite Model Management. Audra’s involvement in the industry later expanded into the business side of modelling. She headed up the men’s modelling division as a booking agent for Penny Noble which is now recognized as one of the top talent agencies in Toronto, Noble Abrams Caplan.
Audra brought her experience, industry knowledge, and contacts to her hometown of Belleville to accomplish two goals: firstly, to start a family with her husband and, secondly, to develop and promote local aspiring models and talent who have the potential to work in the modelling and entertainment industries. After twenty-nine years of successfully managing models and talent through Mode Elle, Audra sold Mode Elle to long-time employee Nicole Coltman who is described to be "more like family". She has since launched a new boutique management company– Just Management – an homage to her mother where she promotes and manages a select few models. Audra has countless success stories to her credit including Canadian Supermodel Liisa Winkler and the list continues to grow!
Audra believes that models and actors must be beautiful both inside and out. She will tell you that you must be confident, professional, and motivated as well as kind and humble. More importantly, however, you must have a positive personality – one that anticipates happiness, health, and success in any situation – in order to excel in the competitive world of modelling and acting.
