Atlanta, Georgia, United States Atlanta, Georgia, United States

  • About the event

The Colorism Project is organizing the 2024 Ronald E. Hall Conference on Colorism scheduled to take place virtually August 22-23, 2024. Our organization’s mission is to educate all members of society about the detrimental effects of colorism. The Colorism Project, Inc. aims to develop strategies to educate, enlighten, and address the psychological, emotional, physical, and social traumas of colorism and its impact on well-being. Our vision is that by educating people about colorism and its effects, we can embrace the diversity of all people and the unity of people of color. I am writing to invite your institution to be a supporter of this inaugural event! Support of the conference will show commitment to exploring the complexities of colorism in our communities and promoting dialogue and research to address this form of discrimination. The purpose of the conference is to bring together faculty, scholars, practitioners, students, representatives from businesses and industry, organizations, community members, and others interested in colorism across various disciplines and specializations. This virtual conference will provide an opportunity to present past research, current research, and innovative strategies to improve curricula, programs, workforce development, training and so much more! Sponsors are the primary source of funding for this event and will help ensure its success. Metro State can provide support in the following ways: ● Be a major sponsor through a monetary donation. There are various levels of sponsorship available with various benefits including a select number of conference passes. ● Contribute to the Ronald E. Hall Colorism Research Scholarship. ● Provide an in-kind donation with recognition of your contribution on our website and promotional material.
